Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR) is described as a greenfield industrial smart city, situated approximately 100 km southwest of Ahmedabad. It is planned to be an attractive location for manufacturing and industrial development in India. The Government of Gujarat has established a legal framework for the creation of a Special Investment Region (SIR) under the Act of 2009, leading to the establishment of the Dholera Special Investment Region Development Authority (DSIRDA).
